Paul Nicholson Commits his Future to Winmau

16 March, 2017

Paul Nicholson has signed a multi-year extension to his current Team Winmau contract whilst attending the Cheltenham Races this week. The agreement means that Paul will stay with Winmau until at least 2021.

The former Players Championship winner and World Cup finalist has also amassed over 15 International titles to his name.

Simon Hall, Winmau’s Head of Marketing, said: "Paul has had a tough time on the oche of late having had to recently qualify for his PDC Tour Card at Q-School, but his talent as a dart player, his huge fan base and his qualities as one of the most personable darts superstars are never in question and we are delighted to continue to support him.”

Paul commented: "Being part of Winmau has opened my eyes to what it means to have such a supportive sponsor. They have been involved in every part of helping me re-build my game that had been struggling for a few years. Winmau^s technical and product knowledge is second-to-none and it’s an honour to be back out on tour representing them again."

Hall added: "Paul is so honest with himself and what he wants to achieve in the game that it was an easy decision to join him on this journey. His passion for the game is unquestionable (as his booming media career has shown), and if his early 2017 form has anything to go by he^ll soon be back at the highest level of the PDC Tour."

Will Lazar, Managing Director of ZWA Sports Management, said: “With over 10 years managing Paul we’ve become very close friends and it’s great to see him really happy and playing great darts again, and this is in no small part thanks to Winmau’s unwavering support.”
