With events being held across Europe this weekend, Team360 were far and wide getting their
darting action in. Whilst some headed to the Netherlands, Keelan Kay took on the PDC Challenge
Tour in Milton Keynes.
Kay kicked his weekend off with a last 64 run on the Friday afternoon, producing a string of high 80’s
averages to battle through the early rounds. Unfortunately for Kay, that would be his best result of
the weekend, as he suffered losses to several high-profile names in the early rounds.
After his success in Coventry a fortnight ago, Nico Bado travelled over to the Netherlands for the
next batch of JDC Foundation Tour events. He would gain a victory over recent rival Jack Nankervis in
the event 14 quarterfinals before defeating Joshua Adriaanse to set up a final meeting with Mason
Teese.
Teese, who was on a hot streak throughout the weekend, would claim the win, but more promising
signs on the Saturday for Gibraltar’s emerging talent. Sunday would see runs to the last 32 and last
16 as Bado conserved his lofty position in the order of merit.
In a busy weekend on the WDF circuit, Cayden Smith was in Prestatyn for the Welsh Open and
surrounding events. Smith would win his opening match in the main event, before losing out 3-1 to
Owen Davies. He would also progress in the men’s pairs event, as well as hitting an impressive 79
average in his men’s classic defeat to Alex Williams.
Ryan Branley was victorious in the South Gosforth ADC vault event on bank holiday Monday. He
progressed from his group with relative ease before surviving match darts in his quarter-final to
squeeze through. Branley then whitewashed Mark Reeves, before averaging 85 in a 3-1 final win
over Steven Jamieson, with a 13-darter in the process.
