A quiet week for Team360 this time around with many players choosing to take a well-earned rest.
Although we did have representation in Wales and over in Ireland, where Adam Dee has had a busy
few weeks.
Connor Hopkins reached the last 16 of the Welsh Masters, losing out to Bryan Cook. He started well,
cruising into a 2-1 lead, but a handful of missed doubles cost the Welshman in the end, going out 4-2
to his experienced adversary.
He was back the following day for the Welsh Individual Championships, once again reaching the last
16 stage. After falling two legs behind, Hopkins really found his scoring boots, going out in 14 and 13
darts to keep him in the contest. But despite an average seven points higher than his opponent, he
lost out by the same scoreline as Saturday.
Adam Dee was in action the previous week, playing in the Irish National double in double out
tournament in Kildare. After defeating Joe O’Brien 3-0 in the quarter-finals, he would follow it up
with a 3-1 win in the semi-final. He would cruise to a 3-1 win in the final, twice starting with a score
of 108, leaving his opponent in the distance. Another trophy in the cabinet for ‘Dee one and only!’
This follows a string performance at the INDO Irish Festival of Darts. Dee went all the way to the final
in the Development tour KO, eventually defeated by Dylan Dowling after winning three or his four
group matches. Dee also performed well in the Irish Masters pairs and Matchplay event, reaching
the last 32 of both tournaments.
