Hannah Meek and Fabian Tapner were in attendance at the ADC Vault in Bridgend on Friday
evening, with both making the knockout stages.
Meek would lose out in the quarter-finals to eventual finalist, Nathan Treadgold, whilst Tapner
would reach the final four with a whitewash win over Mark Howe. He would then average 85 in
taking the in-form John Cook to deciding leg in the semis, missing darts for the win as Cook sealed it
with a 16-darter.
North-East hotshot, Ryan Branley would reach the Washington ADC Vault final on Sunday. He
recorded 3-1 wins over Lewis Mayes and then Angela Kirkwood to reach the final, before losing out
to Reise Markley in the final.
He would return with a vengeance on Monday, securing whitewash wins over Alan Davie and Jack
Howarth to reach the final on this occasion. He would battle past Paul Nesbitt in the final, thanks to
a 13-darter in the process, overturning a one leg deficit to secure the win.
There was also success for Welsh youngster, Riley Rees-Tucker, who secured his place in this year’s
Champion of Champions event after coming through a strong 25 player field. Next stop Cardiff for
RRT!
