Hannah Meek took this week’s headlines after a stunning display at the ADC Vault in Bridgend. She would average 97.46 in her round robin win over John Cook as she progressed to the knockout stages.
Fabian Tapner would also make it through his group, doing so without losing any of his six matches!
Meek would then lose out to Mark Howe in the deciding leg of her quarter-final, with Tapner
progressing to the final four. Tapner would bow out to eventual champion Nathan Treadgold in the semis, despite an average of over 86. He would push Treadgold into a decider, but couldn’t find the final gear in the decider to edge over the line.
Connor Hopkins was back to his brilliant best on Wednesday night as he defeated a former tour card
holder in Superleague action. The Team360 star would average a shade over 90 in defeating multiple
WDF event winner, Nick Kenny.
Following the win, Hopkins was selected to represent his home county of Gwent in county action in
September. Another feather in the cap for Hopkins.
Fellow Welshman, Riley Rees-Tucker was also in superleague action for Breconshire. The youngster
penned averages of 75, 81 and 84 in a confidence building weekend.
