Ruby Grey secured a huge win on the EDO Grand Prix tour as she went head to head
with fellow Team360 star Hannah Meek in Sunday’s final. Grey hit a high average of 71
in the group stage, whilst Meek dropped just a couple of legs in making it to the
knockout stages.
After both coming through semi-final clashes, they met in what would be a scintillating final. Both players averaged well into the 60’s, with Grey reeling off the last three legs to
complete the turnaround and take the tie in a deciding leg.
Jack Nankervis was also competing in the boy's event, and after going one better than
Meek dropping just a single leg in the group, he would reach the quarter-finals.
Prior to their EDO exploits there had been some fine form shown on the local circuit for
Meek and Nankervis with Fabian Tapner also keeping his arm warm in local league
action.
Ryan Branley was victorious in his UK and Ireland Classic qualifier, producing a near 83
average on the day to take the title.
There was also youth county success for Riley Rees Tucker and a Challenge Cup semifinal for Rebecca Allen, who also won all of her group matches.
The ADC Vault’s continue to be a staple of Team360’s routine, with Hayden Ball and Jack Johnson both going deep in their respective events last week.
We also reported last week on Nico Bado being selected for the WDF Europe Cup, him
and his teammates picked up wins over Denmark and Bulgaria in what was a big week
of Gibraltarian darts.
