Hannah Meek and Adam Dee took the headlines this weekend with respective wins for Warwickshire
County and at the WDF Swiss Open.

Emerging Irish talent Adam Dee was crowned Swiss Open Youth champion, as well as having several
good runs throughout the weekend. He defeated Mika Fluckiger and Roemer Mooijmen to reach the
last 64 of the Men’s Open.

Paired with fellow Irishman, Robbie Curran, they reached the quarter-finals of the pairs event,
before meeting in the Youth final the following day. Dee would fire home an 84 average, his highest
of the weekend, in defeating Curran 4-2 to claim the Youth title in Switzerland.

Hannah Meek was on target on her debut for Warwickshire A as she claimed a 3-2 victory in her first
outing over Shelley Bontoft-Gash. Meek was stepping up to the women’s A-team having previously
collected a haul of ‘Lady of the match awards’ for the B-Team.

As he tops the table of the regional ADC Vault, Ryan Branley also had the opportunity to take on
Premier League star and reigning Masters champion, Chris Dobey. The youngster carved out chances
to defeat the PDC major winner, but came out on the end of a very respectable 3-2 loss.

During a timely break on the PDC Pro Tour, Jurjen Van der Velde kept his eye in with some local
competition. After winning a double of tournaments last weekend, he added his name to the roll of
honour in a team event this weekend, ahead of the Dutch National Championships in three weeks
time.
