Vincent D’hondt Claims Second The Hague Disability Darts Invitational Win

28 May, 2019

Winmau’s Vincent D’hondt lifted his second consecutive Vegro The Hague Disability Darts Invitational title, defeating fellow Belgian Serge van Belle 5-2 in the wheelchair final.

Vincent said after the match: “This time it was a lot more difficult. I felt the pressure of having to win. This is the nicest tournament there is and I wanted to defend my title at all costs. I am happy and proud that I succeeded. ”

For the first time the tournament was played over two categories, wheelchair and standing. In the standing classification Michelovic van Velzen took the title with a win over another Belgian finalist, Bernard Martens.

van Velzen came out the 5-3 winner in a tight final after a 4-0 win over Superfan Jackie Goethals in the semi-final.
