WDF World Cup 2019 Results

The Netherlands and England came out the Overall winners of the 2019 WDF World Cup, in Cluj-Napoca.

It was a double for England as they took title in the Women’s Overall and Youth Overall World Cup whilst the Dutch came out on top in the Mens rankings.

In the Mens Singles it was New Zealand’s Darren Herewini that took the gold, with a nailing biting 7-6 win over Australia’s Peter Machin. In the Ladies competition, reigning Ladies BDO World Champion Mikuru Suzuki defeated Deta Hedman 7-3 to win the title.

In the pairs Suzuki completed the double with her partner Mayumi Ouchi to take the Ladies Pairts title, whilst Winmau’s Jeff Smith and David Cameron lifted the Mens pairs title.

In the Team event it was Team Wales that took the Mens top spot with Jim Williams, Nick Kenny, Arwyn Morris and Darren Bingham. The Womens Team event went to England’s Fallon Sherrock, Deta Hedman, Maria O’Brien and Lorraine Winstanley.

England enjoyed the majority of the success in the Youth events with Keelan Kay and Beau Greaves taking the individual titles, whilst also tasting victory in the pairs with partners Brad Phillips and Shannon Reeves respectively.
