Winmau Announce Partnership with England Compris Association

08 November, 2019

Winmau, the world’s leading darts brand, is delighted to announce a sponsorship agreement with the England Compris Association (ECA). The two will work together to continue to provide more opportunities for players with disabilities to participate across the country.

The ECA will use the class-leading Blade 5 as their official tournament dartboard at all events and will use Winmau equipment throughout their venues.

Winmau will be title sponsors for the 5 tournaments on the ECA ranking tour, with the first ever English Compris ranking event taking place on the 23rd November 2019 at the Holditch Club.

The ECA will also host the first Compris Home Internationals as all four United Kingdom WDDA organisations come together for a fantastic tournament in March.

Stafford Rangers football club will be the venue for a WDDA euro qualifier next June, so there are many exciting, new opportunities for ECA players to hone their skills on the tour!

Ian Vincent, WDDA co-ordinator for the ECA, said: “The ECA was set up to provide the best platform possible for disability darts and to allow the WDDA compris pathway to thrive in England. With the greatest supporters of disability darts on board, Winmau, we’re ready to nurture that growth and take the game in England to the next level.”

Ian Flack, Winmau’s Sales and Marketing Director, added: “It’s superb to know that the England Compris Association will be continuing to provide new opportunities for players along the WDDA’s all-inclusive pathway. The upcoming ECA Winmau ranking events promise to be a great showcase for disability darts and we cannot wait for the season to start later this month and to work with the ECA to broaden the scope and encourage more players to participate.”
