Originally scheduled for the November 26th- 28th 2021, the World Paradarts Winmau World Trophy has been rescheduled due to the uncertainty COVID and will now take place from the 20st of May – 22nd May.
G-Darts Belgium are the hosts of this exciting disability darts tournament at the Vayamundo Oostende, Belgium, and the event is open to all open to all member WPD disability darts organisations across the World.
Countries will enter teams of four - two standing and two wheelchair players – who will participate in the main event being the team competition for the World Trophy, there will also be a range of playing formats for singles, and pairs.
All the action will be played on the class-leading Blade dartboard in what will be yet another step forward for the sport of disability darts.
Sarah Smale, Chairperson of World ParaDarts, said: “Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we’ve had to innovate and we’ve staged online tournaments as well as international friendlies, which have been amazingly successful and ensure that our members continue to participate and promote disability darts around the World.
“We’re now proud to announce the details for the World ParaDarts Winmau World Trophy, which will no doubt bring all disability players from their countries back together and continue the growth of the sport via the addition of this major tournament.”
The event will be livestream by 1:1 production, who provide some of the best coverage for darts events. 1:1 have provided streams for the NDB and have covered the Dutch Dart Open.
The team event is open to all the organisations which are members of World Paradarts. Teams must consist out of a minimum of 2 wheelchair players, a complete team consists of 4 players and Maximum 2 reserve players.
The pair’s event is open to all members of World Paradarts, the players do not need to come from the same organisation or Country.
Standing and wheelchair players play separate Tournament.
The individual event is open to all World Paradarts members, standing Men, standing women, wheelchair men and wheelchair women have seperate tournaments.
