Team360 Roundup - W/E 11th June 2023

15 June, 2023

With PDC Pro Tour and Development Tour action over in Hildesheim, a handful of our team360
talents were strutting their stuff over what was a darts packed weekend in Germany and beyond.
It was a busy weekend for Jurjen Van der Velde with Development and Pro tour action in Hildesheim
on offer to the Dutchman. He defeated Krzysztof Kcuik on Monday afternoon, before losing out to
rising German star, Ricardo Pietreczko. Tuesday would see him battle it out with Josh Rock in a
deciding leg, unfortunately coming out on the wrong end of the result.
The Devlopment Tour would prove to be a much more successful stomping ground. Saturday would
see him average over the ton in defeating Alfie Thompson on his way to the last 16. He would then
go one better in the reaching the quarter finals in event 14, before losing out to eventual winner
Adam Gawlas in the semi-finals of the final event of the weekend.
En route to that semi-final, Van der Velde would defeat former JDC World Champion Bradly Roes
and pro tour regular Jarred Cole. The quarter-final would see his defeat Nathan Rafferty 5-2 before
losing a decider to Gawlas.
Keelan Kay was also in attendance at Halle 39 as he looked to make his mark. ‘The Lord of the Board’
would produce a headline performance in defeating Wessel Nijman to start the weekend in excellent
fashion. Wins would be in short supply in the following tournaments, with several high-profile
names in the way of Kay. The Plymouth thrower would average 85 in seeing off Connor Arberry, but
suffered defeat in round two.
Ryan Branley also continued to make waves in the North East as he completed a big win at South
Gosforth Sports and Social Club. He cruised through the early stages and continued to go through
the gears in the knockout stages, averaging 82 to defeat Chris Harvey in the semi-finals. He would
leave the best until last, averaging over 98 to seal the title with the whitewash of Alan Davie.
Elsewhere, Connor Hopkins returned with a win to book his place at the Red Dragon Champion of
Champions later this year. As the season rolls on, many more of our Team360 members will be
competing to get to Cardiff in August.
