Since earning his PDC Tour Card in 2011, O'Connor has conitnued to climb of the PDC rankings, winning the Tom Kirby Memorial Trophy in 2017.

The Irishman has also represented his country at the PDC World Cup of Darts and in 2018 reached the PDC European Matchplay final.
