Winmau, the world^s leading darts brand, has signed a 2-year sponsorship agreement with Sherif Mounir, who becomes the first Egyptian player to be sponsored by the darts giant.
Mounir, known to darts players and fans in Egypt as "The Talent", will work with Winmau and their distributor 301 Darts to promote the brand across the country, which is rapidly emerging on the darts scene.
Mounir is a 37 year-old with 10 years playing experience in Egypt in various tournaments organised by British Community Association (BCA); Egyptian Darts Players Association (EDPA); and the newly created Egyptian Darts Federation (EDF) where he has a winning record of 1 league, 2 cups and 5 challenge cup titles.
Mounir said: "I am working hard on my darts game and have been developing consistently over the years, but still I believe I am not quite where I would like to be. However, taking this move and joining the Winmau family adds more excitement and eagerness to evolve more as a darts player and more willingness to put increased effort into becoming the player I envisage."
