Winmau, the world’s leading darts brand, announced on Monday 26th September 2016 they had signed leading Egyptian player Sherif Mounir, and they have now added another Egyptian star to Team Winmau! Walid Anwar has joined the darts giant on a 2-year agreement.
Anwar, will work with Winmau and their distributor 301 Darts in Egypt to represent the brand on a national and international scale.
Anwar, has been playing darts for over 10 years and has participated in various tournaments organised by the British Community Association (BCA); Egyptian Darts Federation (EDF); and Egyptian Darts Players Association (EDPA). He was the leading Egyptian player and 4th overall in the EDF rankings for the 2015/2016 season.
Walid said: “To join the Winmau darts family is a great moment. I know I have to develop my game and keep a consistent level of performance to be able to compete with the professional players on the circuit, and I believe the expertise of the Winmau team will support me in my goal.”
