John Boy Walton, who recorded the first and only 9-Darter in the Winmau World Masters in 2007 is the first ever recipient of the 9-Darter award designed by Winmau in conjunction with the BDO.
His personally laser-engraved darts were presented by BDO Chairperson Sue Williams during the annual players luncheon at Lakeside and he becomes first ever member of the BDO/Winmau 9-Dart Club.
An emotional John told his fellow players: "I am proud and honoured to be the very first member of this unique club. It means a lot to me and I thank Winmau and the BDO for such a memorable award - even the darts are engraved and the attractive case has a unique 9-Dart logo. I will treasure it for ever."
