The 2012 China Darts National Championship was held by the Chinese Darts Association in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, and all matches were played exclusively on the Winmau Blade 4.
Darts is already a very popular sport in Zhoushan City, with many local darts tournaments at all levels being played every year. Many local players from Zhoushan City have claimed darts titles in the national tournaments.
Joe Mei, Deputy Secretary General for the IDF, said "The quality of the players in China is improving all the time, and the number of participants at each event is growing at a huge pace. The players really enjoy playing on the Winmau Blade 4, and often express their amazement at the durability and quality of them".
The tournament attracted 10 province teams, 120 male players and 41 female players.
There were both Singles and Team events (with the Mixed Team consisting of 4 male and 2 female players). The final results were:
Team Events:
1st place: Hubei Province team
2nd place: Beijing Team
3rd place: Henan Team and Zhoushan Team
Men’s Singles:
1st place: Huan Xuejie (Hubei)
2nd place: Zheng Bin (Henan)
3rd place: Cheng Hong (Heilongjiang) and Ge Qi (Shanghai)
Women’s Singles:
1st place: Hou Hangying (Zhejiang)
2nd place: Zhou Chi (Shanghai)
3rd place: Shi Wei (Beijing) and Zhou Yan (Zhejiang)
