Alan Norris and Deta Hedman win the BDO Winmau British Classic!

Alan Norris and Deta Hedman are the BDO Winmau British Classic winners!

Alan beat Pip Blackwell 6-5 in a tense final, and Deta triumphed against Lorraine Winstanley 5-1 in the women^s event.

Winmau^s Ted "The Count" Hankey is showing a return to form and reached the last 16 to earn some valuable ranking points. Ted said: "I^ve had a good run in the last few events, and have beaten some really tough opposition. I^m still playing catch-up with regard to the points having only returned to the BDO earlier this year, but I^m really enjoying my darts at the moment. My short-term goal is to win the Winmau World Masters in October, as it^s one that has eluded my trophy cabinet. I feel like I^m playing well enough to become the champion, and I^ll be putting in even more hours on the practice board to try and achieve this."
