BULLSEYE CHALLENGE ACTIVITY EVENT

BULLSEYE CHALLENGE ACTIVITY EVENT

The Room 180 Bullseye challenge arrived at the Bulwell Academy on a cold and windy day where the school took part in the 9 dart bullseye challenge.  PDC star Dave “Chizzy” Chisnall kick started the challenge last Thursday with a score of 14 points.  Further PDC stars Barney, Diamond White and Bully Boy have also taken part in the challenge – please see the PDC website and twitter page for more details and video up-loads.

Vice principal, Chris Fisher welcomed the 180 team into the school and the challenge was met full on by the school pupils and staff.  Chris is seen with the leader board (above) where Jimmy Logan from the Estates team came top of the Academy league table with 12 points.  Top scoring student, Daniel Harrell, who scored 10 points had a great first 3 darts with 2 bullseye but couldn’t maintain this fantastic start.   Other high scorers were Mr Fisher with 7 points, Mr Derry with 9 points and Mrs Dean with 1 point being the top scoring female in the Bulwell Academy.

BED Sports student Daniel said “I love darts and taking part in the challenge was a great way to spend my lunch time.  I now hope to visit the Room 180 Academy and will try to join the JDC academy on a Thursday evening to take my game onto the next level.  I will hopefully be going to Nottingham Trent University next year so this will give me a great chance to learn more about darts as Room 180 and NTU are both based in Clifton.

The event was part of Central College’s Sport relief fund raise that sees Room 180 staff visit a variety of Primary and Secondary schools in Nottingham. Room 180 is a darts academy that allows people to study Maths, develop life skills, learn about sports psychology and learn the principles of event management while playing the sport of darts.  The academy is affiliated with the PDC and sponsored by Winmau.

Darts fans are encouraged to get involved too by videoing your own nine-dart Bullseye Challenges and uploading to Twitter, tagging in @OfficialPDC and @SportatCentral with the #BullseyeChallenge hashtag.
