Cayden Smith came oh so close to an ADC Championship tour win on Sunday as he was defeated in
the final by Thomas Banks. With a first nine in excess of a ton and the running average at 92, Smith
missed two darts to take it to a decider but can walk away proud of his work in Middlesbrough.
Ryan Branley was also in the attendance with the tournament taking place on his doorstep and
reached two 64’s with consistent 80 plus averages and can count himself unfortunate not to have
made it further. Away from the ADC there was a local win for Nathan Potter and Jack Nankervis
reached the final of a local set play tournament, hitting a 10-darter en route. There was also a singles
win for the South-West thrower which saw his average 107.36 in the semi-finals, simply incredible
darts!
Cori Wiltshire has made Brown’s Bar a happy hunting ground of late and did so again on Thursday
evening as he defeated JDC Cadet Shoey Ayres in the weekly open final. There was a Gibraltar men’s ranking win for Nico Bado in his homeland and there was a whitewash win for Connor Hopkins as his league season drew to a close.
Irish duo Adam Dee and Aidan O’Hara have been progressing nicely on their local ciruit, with O’Hara
picking up another vault title last week. Despite not showing his best stuff, the youngster defeated
Dean Finn 3-1 in the final. There was a runner-up spot for Dee around the corner as he came up just short in his final, despite averaging 90 in his semi-final win over Mark Cullen.
Away from the board our final shoutout goes to PJ Stewart who completed his qualification to
become a private pilot. Way to go, PJ!
