I would like to inform you Catrina Elizabeth Gulliver the nine-time Ladies World Darts Champion and England Captain has been awarded a ‘Member of the Order of the British Empire’ (MBE) in the Queen’s 2013 Birthday Honours list. The official communication from the Cabinet Office was published today 15th June 2013 in the London Gazette.
Catrina (Trina) was awarded the MBE in recognition to ‘Services to Darts and Charitable Fundraising’. Trina will now formally be known as ‘Catrina Elizabeth Gulliver MBE’. However she prefers to be called Trina.
Trina will collect her award from St James Palace on a date yet to be confirmed; however this is usually within a seven month period of the official announcement.
Trina Gulliver was nicknamed ‘Golden Girl’ in 1999 after winning three gold medals at the World Cup in Durban, not as many think for her golden hair or golden jewellery she wears on stage. Since then she has notched up staggering hundred plus other international and national dart titles including Nine World Titles and Five World Master Titles. Her MBE comes as a result of a number of individuals submitting citations to the cabinet office sighting her achievements in the sport of darts and the lesser known charity and fund raising work Trina has undertaken over many years.

In 2009 Trina was honoured by Southam Council, Stratford. The ^Trina Trail^, seven benches erected in honour of Trina’s seven consecutive World Title wins. The benches form part of a walk around Southam depicting places of interest and where Trina grew up.
