Winmau, the world’s leading darts brand, and their Canadian distributor, British Darts, have entered a 3 year agreement with 2016 Lakeside World Championship finalist, Jeff Smith.
Jeff, nicknamed "The Silencer”, burst onto the televised darts scene in 2015 reaching the semi-final of the Lakeside World Championships at his first attempt (losing out to eventual champion and fellow Winmau team mate, Scott Mitchell).
In this year’s Lakeside, he went one better and reached the final in imperious form only to lose out to another Team Winmau player, Scott Waites.
Jeff quipped "Having lost out to two current members of Team Winmau, I suppose it was inevitable that I had to sign with them to try and fulfil my dream of becoming World Champion! In all seriousness, Winmau are such a well renowned and respected name in darts, and they are the number one brand in Canada and so I know their products and their quality well. It is a dream to be part of such an elite team of players, and they have already impressed me with their help and advice in the short time that I have been dealing with them.”
