Winmau, the world ’s leading darts brand, has announced it is to sponsor French player, Thibault Tricole.
The deal comes just ahead of the 44th Winmau World Masters to be held at the Bridlington Spa from the 25th to 27th of September) in which Thibault will compete on the floor with the objective of qualifying for the final televised stages.
Based in central Brittany, 28 year-old Thibault has been part of the French international team for the last eight years. Having taking up the sport aged 13, he won the French Darts Federation (FFD) junior title just two years later. As a senior, he has picked up a number of doubles titles and reached the quarter finals in the 2016 European Cup played in The Netherlands.
In addition to his many steeltip successes, landscape architect Thibault reached the semi-finals of the French professional softip championship in 2016 and 2017.
His immediate focus though is the Winmau World Masters. ‘’I am very proud to be sponsored by a company that has been such a big part of the sport since I started playing.
