Player profile Cool-headed, composed, and quietly dangerous, Ben Townley is part of a new generation of players reshaping the game from the ground up. Hailing from St Helens, a Merseyside town with deep roots in the world of darts, helped ignite Ben’s early love for the sport. Although it was the community and social energy around the sport that really turned curiosity into passion. Known for keeping cool under pressure and a playing style that doesn’t scream for attention—but it demands respect.  A standout product of the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC), Ben made waves on the youth circuit with his calm approach and sharp finishing, and now he’s doing the same on the senior stage. In January 2025, he became one of the first two players to secure a JDC Advanced Tour Card at Q-School, dominating the opening weekend with two final appearances and sealing his card before the second phase had even begun. It was a statement performance - controlled, clinical, and packed with promise. Reflecting on his journey with Team360, Ben said: “I joined in February 2025, and being part of Winmau gives me confidence as it has shown that the best darts manufacturer has signed me.” Ben’s future goals in darts are anything but small; he’s aiming to secure his place on the World Matchplay and hope of a Grand Slam-style JDC event to be in the horizon, along with a future filled with big stage moments. For Ben, it all starts with chasing a Development Tour title, then earning his Tour Card, and eventually chasing that first major title. Ben Townley is a rising star and lets his darts do the talking from his incredible achievements, and confirms what many already knew: Ben Townley belongs on the big stage.
