Some of the world’s best players with disabilities will be competing for the inaugural Hague Disability Darts Invitational 2018 title in The Netherlands on February 17, and Winmau TV will be covering the action LIVE and for FREE.
Sixteen players, including two-time Winmau WDDA World Master and Team Winmau player, Vincent D’hondt, will compete in a knock-out format at the Theater aan het Spui in the centre of The Hague.
Amongst the 16 players will be the top eight from the disability tournament at the Dutch Open who will be seeded. The field consists of three players from Belgium, two from England, one from Denmark and ten from The Netherlands. In addition to The Hague Disability Darts 2018 title, the winner will also qualify for the Winmau WDDA World Masters to be held in the UK in October.
“All the matches will be streamed live on Winmau TV as well as regional channel TV West,” says Hans Willink, Chairman of disability organisation Stichting Haagse Sportstimulering voor Gehandicapten. “It will be a great event complete with walk-on music, a master of ceremonies and an audience numbering in the hundreds.”
“The quality of disability darts is incredible and is improving all the time with the additional opportunities for players,” says Ian Flack, Winmau’s Sales and Marketing Director. “Competition is going to be as tough as ever as players have the added incentive of winning a place at the 2018 Winmau WDDA World Masters. Hans and his team certainly know how to put on a show and I’m delighted Winmau TV will be able to broadcast all the action live and for free.”
Games start at 10:30 local Dutch time (09:30 UK).
