The ADC Global Championship Is Underway: 128 Players, One Champion

The pinnacle of the Amateur Darts Calendar is here, and it has never looked like this. The ADC Global Championship got underway on Sunday 1st November at the MODUS Live Lounge in Portsmouth. 128 of the most consistent and dominant amateur players in the world are battling it out across a full week of live darts.

Every place in the tournament has been earned through the Amateur Darts Circuit (ADC) season with no invites or wildcards granted, and this year there are more places than ever.

Bigger Field. Bigger Stage.

The 2026 Global Championship has grown from 56 players to 128, opening the door for 72 additional players to compete on the global stage. The total prize fund is £126,000, with the winner taking home £20,000. Every player in the field leaves with prize money, so even a first-round exit earns £500.

Scott Hunt of the ADC said: “Expanding from 56 to 128 players is about creating more opportunity, opening more doors, and giving more players the chance to compete on a true global stage. The move to a straight knockout format over one full week of action will bring real intensity and excitement from the very first dart.”

The international reach has grown too. Alongside players from the UK, Ireland and multiple European countries, this year’s field includes qualifiers from Africa, Canada and Australia.

Every dart is broadcast live and free on Pluto TV, with a live audience in the room throughout the week. The MODUS Live Lounge is a purpose-built darts venue, designed for tight camera angles, an amplified atmosphere and raw competitive tension.
