Shownights.com brings the best of BDO darts to Blackpool’s Norbreck Castlethis weekend for the inaugural Winmau European Darts Weekend.
This double header Category A BDO tournament will see a top line-up of darting talent from the BDO system alongside a further 200 entrants compete for a total prize fund of £20,000. Headlining the players list is the current BDO World number 1 and reigning Winmau World Masters champion ^Duzza^ Glen Durrant. He is joined by the legendary 3-time Lakeside Winner ^Wolfie^ Martin Adams and the 2-time and reigning Lakeside World Champion ^Scotty 2 Hotty^ Scott Waites.
The weekend features a top line-up of darting talent from the BDO system - both Lakeside semi-finalists, ^Yozza^ Jamie Hughes and ^Flyers^ Richard Veenstra, double Lakeside semi-finalists ^Sparky^ Wesley Harms and ^Dazzler^ Darryl Fitton, the reigning WDF World Cup Singles champion Jim Williams and his Welsh captain, 2014 Winmau World Masters Champion Martin Phillips.
The weekend will also see the ladies in action with 10 times and current World Champion Trina Gulliver MBE among a stellar line-up in the Ladies competition. She is joined by the 2-time former Lakeside World Champion ^the Lancashire Rose^ Lisa Ashton who will hope to bloom on home soil. Both ladies will face tough opposition from Lakeside finalist and British Open Champion Deta Hedman and British Classic champion Fallon Sherrock.
They will also be joined by the reigning Winmau World Masters champion Aileen de Graaf, 2016 Scottish Open champion Lorraine Winstanley and the 3-time former Lakeside World Champion ^From Russia With Love^ Anastasia Dobromyslova.
A youth competition is also being held alongside a World Disability Darts Association tournament, which to date has the most entrants ever for a disability darts event.

Doors open at 9am for registration of players on both days. Entry and non-resident passes for spectators can be purchased on the day for £10 each.
