Rotherham hosted the UKDA National Finals over the weekend, and Team360 had representation in
both the men’s and women’s events.
Ryan Branley has had a plethora of success at local level recently, earning plaudits a plenty in the
North East. He kicked off the weekend in style, defeating Jon Woodbridge with an 87 average. 4-1
wins over Andy Hibbert and Grant Brown followed as he reached the last 32. He would succumb to
Cameron Anderson in the following match despite averaging in excess of 85.
Hannah Meek was also in attendance, and despite an early exit in the women’s singles event, she
would record a semi-final run in the women’s pairs. Meek and playing partner Courtney Hine came
through a tough draw in the opening few rounds to reach the quarter-finals. A win in the last eight
would follow, but the run would end in the semi-finals as they were defeated by Jo Locke and
Nadine Leathers.
Elsewhere, Evan Willoughby was crowned the under 18 Southern Counties Champion, and there was
also action for Fabian Tapner and Cayden Smith at the EDGP. There was also success for American
star PJ Stewart last week over the pond. Along with his team mates, Stewart was crowned BCDL
champion, claiming the magnificent trophy alongside the title.
