Winmau, the world’s leading darts brand, and the German Darts Federation (DDV) have entered an agreement for the darts company to become their exclusive equipment supplier.
The DDV was formed in 1982 and since then has grown in strength and stature to become one of the biggest steeltip darts organisations in the world with over 11,000 players.
They became members of the German Olympic Sports Federation in 2010, and their tournaments regularly attract over 1,000 players. In fact, the newly named Winmau German Masters and Winmau Spreecup Berlin will see over 1,500 players taking part in each event making them among the largest darts tournaments in the world.
The agreement will see Winmau dartboards used in all major DDV events and also the main darts league in Germany – the Winmau Bundesliga.
Winmau TV will be live streaming 8 of the DDV’s major tournaments for free, with further details to be released in due course.
