Former BDO Gold Cup champion Brian Dawson lifted the Men’s German Masters title on Sunday, after Mario Vandenbogaerde won the German Open title on Saturday.
Dawson defeated BDO ranked number 3 Wesley Harms 6-4 in the final after he battled his way through a 600-strong field of competitors.
“Super Mario” Vandenbogaerde took a deciding leg victory over Martijn Kleermaker in the German Open final. The Belgian lead 3-1 before Kleermaker levelled at 5-5, it then took a 14-dart leg from Mario to take the final leg and claim his second BDO ranking title.
In the Ladies competitions, Australian Corrine Hammond claimed the Ladies German Masters win with a 5-4 final win over Lorraine Winstanley whilst Aileen de Graaf retained the Open title with a 5-4 win over Fallon Sherrock.
