Winmau Sign Irish PDC Star Brendan Dolan

Winmau, the world’s leading darts brand, have signed Irish ace Brendan Dolan, the smooth-throwing player currently ranked 18th on the Professional Darts Corporation Order of Merit and 14th on the Pro Tour Order of Merit.

Dolan earned his nickname “The History Maker” when he hit the first ever televised Double-In, Double-Out 9 dart finish live on Sky Sports at the World Grand Prix of Darts against James Wade during their semi-final contest.

Brendan, who is from the village of Belcoo, represents Northern Ireland internationally at the PDC World Cup of Darts. During 2014 he reached the semi-final stage with team mate Mickey Mansell, losing out to Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld.

“The History Maker”, who has 4 PDC Players Championship title wins to his name, is a regular on the European Tour and has qualified for his 8th consecutive PDC World Championships this year, where he will face Kyle Anderson at Alexandra Palace on Friday 18th December.

Brendan said "Joining Winmau is exactly what I^ve been looking for. They provide amazing backing both on and off the dartboard, and I^m sure that with them behind me I can push towards the top 8 again. I was blown away by both their technical and professional knowledge in supporting me as a modern day darts professional, and I^m really looking forward to getting my new Winmau darts to help me in those crucial games".

Ian Flack, Winmau’s Sales and Marketing Director, said "Brendan is an absolute class act, and he conducts himself in the perfect manner on stage and off it. Now that we are working together, we are sure that he will be flying high in the latter stages of the TV majors very soon."

Brendan’s new darts will be launched in the New Year.
